Paying Your Taxes

For the 2022 tax year, DOR accepts cash, check, and debit/credit cards. For cash and check, payments can be made in the Clerk's office or mailed to DOR (must be postmarked by April 15th). For credit/debit card payments, please visit clerk.commonsgov.org/FRC. If you choose to make a payment via debit/credit card, please be advised there is a fee for using the tool.

Extensions/Payment Plans: DOR must take your tax payment in full unless DOR have given you consent to make parital payments or a payment plan. If you are placed on a quarterly plan, you must submit payments on April 15, June 15, September 15, and January 15.

Failure to Pay: Failing to pay by April 15th is a violation of law, known as a tax penalty, and is subject to a $350 fine and a loss of access to House Services.

Paying Your Fines

While DOR manages and keeps records of fine payments, DOR does not directly accept these payments at this time due to House Code restrictions. Payments must be made in cash or check in the Clerk's office or with a credit/debit card at clerk.commonsgov.org/FRC. If you choose to make a payment via debit/credit card, please be advised there is a fee for using the tool.

Extensions/Payment Plans: You may make partial payments. You are required by law to pay all outstanding fines in full within 60 days.

Failure to Pay: If you fail to pay your fine in full within 60 days, DOR will exercise in authority under law to seize assets and sell them in order to collect. DOR may also take funds out of your bank account(s). In addition, if you are a business owner registered with the Department of Commerce, they have the right to seize 60% of your profits in order to pay off fines.
